Jade Loyzaga // Engineering Director - Canva

Jade Loyzaga is a prominent leader in engineering and user experience at Canva, where she plays a pivotal role in developing key UX tools and features. She specializes in integrating AI into Canva's design processes, enhancing accessibility with innovative tools. Her team has developed products like Docs, Websites, and Whiteboards. Jade also promotes teamwork across departments to boost innovation and user satisfaction, and outside work, she thrives as a new mother and active community member.

Ben Gunsberger // CG Supervisor - Industrial Light & Magic

Ben Gunsberger has nearly 30 years of experience at the intersection of technology and creativity. He is currently a Computer Graphics Supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic and also operates independently. Ben has extensive experience utilizing AI tools in various creative workflows, spanning entertainment to software development. Among his projects are major titles like 'The Matrix Films', 'Shrek', 'Happy Feet', ‘Ahsoka' and a panoramic photography app for the Apple Vision Pro. He is passionate about the potential of AI to empower all creators to realize their vision.

Joseph Pole // VFX Supervisor - Vandal 

As a former Network Art Director at Nine Network/Channel Nine, Joseph boasts a rich background in broadcast and VFX. Now pioneering AI-assisted animations, Joseph merges art direction, VFX, and AI to push the boundaries of creativity. His latest AI based 3D projection work is showcased as part of the large-format placemaking project titled ‘Natural Rhythms of Australia’ for Lendlease, Darling Quarter North and the projection-mapped AI-animation work ‘Synthetic HumAInity’ for the 2024 Vivid Festival.


Annemarie Gereis // Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist / VFX Trainer - Annemarie Gereis Consulting / UNSW

Combining her love for creativity and technology, Annemarie has worked on over 20 blockbuster TV shows and films, including 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' 'Gotham,' and 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' across Los Angeles, Atlanta, Sydney, and Austin. She enjoys collaborating with organizations to improve hiring processes, business strategies and creative workflows. Annemarie also provides training in personal development and mentors career changers in visual effects. She lectures at the University of New South Wales and is the founder of the Creator Co-Labs mixer event for creatives.
